Pub Bike I
Friends wanted bikes they could ride to the pub, or to the beach, and not have to worry too much about. This one came to us for a small sum of money from the Adelaide Bike Kitchen.
Friends wanted bikes they could ride to the pub, or to the beach, and not have to worry too much about. I found one bike frame on the side of the road, and that is going to be Pub Bike II. This one came to us for a small sum of money from the Adelaide Bike Kitchen. It was one of their project bikes that you normally purchase along with expertise from a bike mechanic and bike-stand-time at the kitchen, so you end up with a fully functioning bike after a few weeks - along with new skills and the satisfaction of having restored something.
This Super Elliot Supersports 5-speed bike was close to functioning when we got it.
It needed:
- a spoke replaced in the rear wheel.
- a rear tyre (I wish I could have found a matching white-wall)
- new tubes
- seat post
- seat/saddle (do you say seat or saddle?)
- new cables and outers
and some TLC.
It has the sweetest sounding bell.
I finished it today, and did a little photoshoot.
